CEO – Andrei Leonov, Ph.D.
Dr. Leonov received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Moscow State University, with intense collaboration with Max Planck Institute of Molecular Genetics in Berlin, Germany.
From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a Scientific Researcher at Moscow State University and abroad.
From 2003 to 2005, Dr. Leonov was a Clinical Research Associate at Novartis (Switzerland).
In 2005, Dr. Leonov was invited to join Bioprocess Holdings as Project Manager of Pharmapark, LLC. Dr. Leonov is one of the architects of the concept of the Bioprocess Capital Ventures Fund. Dr. Leonov served as the Fund’s Investment Manager from 2008 until 2010.
In 2010, Dr. Leonov became a member of the Russian Venture Company Expert Society and he has a number of scientific publications and patents.
Deputy CEO – Roman Ivanov, Ph.D.
Roman Ivanov has many years of experience in biotechnology industry with specialization in polymer chemistry.
Dr. Ivanov received his Ph.D. in 2005 from the A.N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds at the Russian Academy of Sciences. From 2005 to 2006, Dr. Ivanov worked as Research Professor at the Polymer Gel Research Cluster Center in South Korea. From 2007 to 2010 Dr. Ivanov was involved in management of innovative drug development projects at ChemDiv, Inc.
Director of Clinical Development — Polina Shpigotskaya, M.D., Ph.D.
Polina Shpigotskaya is a medical doctor with a Ph.D. in Oncology and Surgery. She practiced medicine for10 years, including 6 years working at the Altai Oncology Center and 3 years working at the Research Institute of Clinical Immunology, at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. During this period she published more than 30 scientific papers including 2 monographs on oncology and methodical materials on immunology.
In 2003 Dr. Shpigotskaya was recognized for her substantial contributions to the development of science and technology.
In 2005 she worked in international Clinical Research Organizations such as PSI Pharma Support Intl. (Co Ltd), MDS Pharma Services France and INC Research UK Ltd, where she gained a wide range of skills in clinical trial and human resource management at the regional and international levels. She participated in more than 20 projects across different therapeutic areas. As the first Russian representative of MDS Pharma Services, she made significant contributions to the development of the clinical team and eventually became a team leader, successfully launching several multicenter clinical trials.
Project manager — Ludmila Khristoforova, Ph. D.
From 2008 to 2011, Dr. Khristoforova was a Junior Researcher at the N. D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2011 she received her Ph. D. in Organic Chemistry from N. D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Russian Academy of Sciences. She is the author of several scientific papers and actively participates in Russian and international conferences.
